DIY Easter Bunny Napkins

Bunny Napkins

Had to share one last Easter idea before settling in for a weekend of family fun! This quick tutorial will help you spruce up your Easter table with just the right touch of fun. Works with both paper and cloth napkins but the stiffer, the better. The cloth napkins I used aren’t super stiff & I chose not to starch them…they still worked just fine.

Are you ready? Grab a napkin & let’s get started! (Once you do the first couple you won’t even need to peek at the tutorial…until next year! So be sure to pin this so you can find it again easily!)

Step 1:

Bunny Napkins

Lay square napkin out in front of you. You can iron out the creases if you want or just leave em…I say they add character. 😉

Step 2:

Bunny Napkins

Fold napkin in half up from the bottom.

Step 3:

Bunny Napkins

Repeat step 2 so you have a skinny rectangle.

Step 4:

Bunny Napkins

From the midline of this rectangle, fold the right half over itself and down, as shown above.

Step 5:

Bunny Napkins

Repeat with the left side.

Step 6:

Bunny Napkins

Fold bottom of right side up to make 2 triangles on that side. See??

Step 7:

Now fold the point on the right in to the midline.

Step 8:

Bunny Napkins

Repeat steps 6 & 7 with the left side.

Step 9:

Bunny Napkins

Fold the top point behind/underneath the rest of the napkin so it disappears(this will be the bunny’s tail.)

Step 10:

Ok now see how thereare two points meeting in the middle? Let’s use those to make the ears. Cross the point on the right over the one on the left and tuck it into the little pocket. This took me a try or two to get it to stay when I picked it up for a final fluff.

Give your bunny a little squeeze to open him up a bit and allow him to stand up as you see below.

And that, my friends, is how you add a little extra flair, if you will, to your Easter dinner table!

Have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Easter to all who are celebrating!
